hello! meet chelsea
Wife, mother, & NURSE Practicioner
I grew up relatively ‘healthy’ but with little regard for health. I attended The University of Texas at Houston Health Science Center for my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing and Master’s of Science in Nursing. While the education and experience working in the Houston Medical Center was unmatched, I quickly realized my training was in ‘sick care.’ When I started developing symptoms that would normally be prescribed with various pharmaceuticals- I intuitively knew that approach wasn’t going to cure me. I felt something more must be going on in my body that the typical ‘band aid’ approach wouldn’t address. I believe pharmaceuticals are necessary in many situations, but are best used in emergent cases and shouldn’t be the first line of defense.
After years of working in the functional medicine space, researching, learning and unlearning my previously held beliefs, supplementing, and changing diet patterns, I feel confident I have reached a point in my health journey that would benefit others as well.

get to know me
These are a few of my favorite things…
- I am married to my best friend and have been blessed with 3 amazing children! They are my world and who I love spending the majority of my time with.
- I love to garden! If you follow me on social media, you will often see my garden updates! I relate a lot of the garden to our own health struggles and find that nature thrives with proper sunlight, water, and nutrition- similar to what our bodies need to thrive as well. I started out with a black thumb, but dreamt of being a master gardener! As with health, it is not a destination- but a journey and I love what the garden teaches me. It is a teaching tool I use with my clients as well.
- I am a novice beekeeper. I have been keeping bees for about 3 years. I find bees to be the most fascinating creatures and love learning from them. They are another tool I find myself using often in my quest for health for myself and clients.
- I love to cook! After nursing school, I considered going to culinary school for fun, but instead was gifted a 6 week cooking course at a local cooking school. I love involving my kids in cooking, I love teaching them about where their food comes from (you’ll often see us taking trips to our local farm if you follow me on social media), and I love teaching them what foods can nourish our bodies.
- My husband, son, and I lived a small town in Kazakhstan for a couple of years which is where I learned the difference in the food systems in the U.S. vs many other areas around the world. To my dismay, I learned most U.S. food companies do not prioritize our health which was another stepping stone in my health awakening and journey.
